Dr. Irvine taught at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, for 38 years before retiring in 2020 and has written many books, including “A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy” and “How to Think More and Better: Being Reasonable in Unreasonable Times.”
