Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of cardiologists, surgeons, internists, investigators, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and allied health care staff who participate in the care of patients with coronary, peripheral, and structural cardiovascular diseases.
Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of new advanced PCI and endovascular intervention techniques and comprehend which patients are suitable for minimally invasive or surgical treatments. Furthermore, attendees will learn about the recognition and treatment of potential complications associated with such procedures.
- Recall indications, techniques, outcomes, and complications for transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve interventions in patients with native valve lesions and dysfunction valve prostheses.
- Identify patients with cardiogenic shock by using hemodynamic monitoring, providing optimal coronary revascularization and timely use of hemodynamic support devices.
- Describe the advantages and pitfalls of comprehensive non-invasive imaging techniques for patients with cardiac and vascular diseases such as Duplex ultrasonography, cardiac computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), echocardiography, and other.
