Submissions open for CVI 2026 conference

CVI2026 Registration Submission Header

CVI’s Challenging Case Competition and Poster Abstracts submissions are now open for CVI 2026. CVI is also now accepting Travel Grant and Bridge Scholarship applications. This year, one login can be used for all submissions/applications. Upon starting your first submission, you will create a login that will used for all three types of submissions.

Challenging Case Competition

Fellows, early-career physicians (5 years or less in practice), residents and students may submit their most challenging, innovative or educational case. Cases are reviewed by the directors and the best cases will be presented during semifinals at CVI 2026. The top cases from each semifinal compete on Saturday of CVI in the finals. The winning case in each category will receive a $1,000 prize and an invitation to be part of the faculty for the next CVI.

Eligibility:

  • Submitters must be fellows or early-career physicians (5 years or less as a practicing physician)
  • Submitters may not be faculty or industry representatives
  • Submitters may submit a maximum of two (2) cases across all categories
  • Cases must be submitted by May 15, 2026.

Poster Abstract Presentations

Poster Abstract Presentation

The Poster Abstracts presentations at CVI allows early-career researchers to share their work with their colleagues and attend CVI via a travel grant.

  • All are welcome to submit research abstracts
  • Only submitters who are students, residents, fellows or early-career physicians (5 years or less in practice) are eligible for travel grants
  • Submitters may submit a maximum of two (2) abstracts across all categories
  • Abstracts must be submitted by May 15, 2026.

Travel Grants/Bridge Scholarships

Cardiovascular Innovations Foundation is pleased to offer travel grants to CVI 2026. Grants are limited. Priority will be given to eligible Challenging Case Competition and Poster Abstract submitters. Full details are available on the submission portal.

BRIDGE SCHOLARSHIPS for the care coordinator team. Selected applicants received funding to cover the costs of airfare**, hotel, and CVI 2026 meeting registration.

EARLY CAREER AWARDS are for those who have been in their career less than 10 years. Early career applicants are eligible for this award by submitting an innovative case or research abstract for consideration. Recipients received funding to cover the costs of airfare**, hotel, and CVI 2026 meeting registration.

**Travel reimbursement is capped at $500 for domestic travel grant recipients and $1000 for international travel grant recipients.
