Interventional Octagon Case Competition

Submissions are now open for the next Peripheral/Endovascular Interventional Octagon on the topic: Extreme CLI and No-option Patients

CVI announces the launch of the Interventional Octagon webinar, a monthly case competition starting January 2025, for fellows and early-career physicians. Submitters compete to win a prize and a travel grant to the next CVI Conference (CVI 2025 for January-June sessions, CVI 2026 for July-December sessions).

Each month will feature a different topic. Fellows can submit their cases online (form below) that match the topic criteria to be considered. The CVI directors will choose the three (3) finalists who will compete during the live webinar. Each finalist will have 7 minutes to present their case to an esteemed panel including the CVI directors, after which there will be 8 minutes of Q&A and discussion.

Webinar attendees will be able to vote for their favorite case which will be considered by the panel and directors in choosing the winner. Registration is required to attend the webinar but it is complimentary.

Submissions should use the approved Interventional Octagon Powerpoint template to ensure they cover the appropriate content within the 7 minute time limit.

Eligibility

  • Submitters must be fellows or early-career physicians (5 years or less as a practicing physician)
  • Submitters may not be previous CVI faculty or industry representatives
  • Submitters may submit a maximum of two (2) cases
  • Submitters must be available for the scheduled webinar date to present their case live
  • Submitters must complete appropriate disclosure and video releases
